About the Founder: Nancy Sinsabaugh

Portrait of Nancy SinsabaughWith more than two decades of student services experience at colleges and universities throughout the nation, Nancy Sinsabaugh has significant on-campus and consulting expertise in student services, including admissions, financial aid, registration and records, bursar and  both academic and student success advising. Her posts have included Director of Student Financial Services at Harvard University, vice president of a major student loan company, and managing consultant for an international consulting firm. She has also served as interim Director of Financial Aid at numerous universities, and is a national leader in business process redesign and change management for all student service areas, with particular expertise in registration, financial aid and bursar issues.

In 2002, Ms. Sinsabaugh founded “Transformation in Higher Education,” a consulting firm that assists colleges and universities in creating innovative solutions to student service issues and challenges. Her clients include more than twenty colleges and major research universities. She is the author of the “Paperless Financial Aid” chapter in Best Technology Practices in Higher Education (January 2005), the editor of Student-Centered Financial Services (NACUBO 2007), and co-author of the Educause Research Bulletin “Information Technology Strategies for Financial Aid Automation” (ECAR 2007). She is a frequent speaker at state, regional and national admissions, financial aid, registrar and bursar conferences.

Ms. Sinsabaugh earned an AB (1976) and MBA (1978) from Harvard University, and an MFA (2003) from Hamline University. She is an active volunteer for the Harvard Alumni Association, where she currently serves as Treasurer for the global Harvard alumni community.
